About ASA

Welcome to the Association of Straight Allies. We are a group of straight (heterosexual) people who promote equality and justice for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community.  The LGBT communities do not share the same rights as straight people do, but they should. We are a group of people who take a strong stand against misinformation, discrimination, bigotry, spiritual abuse, homophobia, heterosexism, violence, and any and all unfair treatment towards the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trangender communities.

We believe the manner in which the LGBT population has and continues to be treated is terribly wrong, inexcusable, and disgraceful. We are deeply troubled by the way this community has been characterized, criticized, judged, taunted, and humiliated. We can no longer stand silent. Please join in our efforts to confront and end the tremendous injustices inflicted upon our fellow human beings by becoming a member of ASA. Our strength will be in our numbers which is our initial goal.
